Ok so had my interview on May 6th. Officer said everything in my case looks pretty good, they just need a document from the ministry of interior with my exits and returns into the country, being in my passport I did not have a stamp of coming back into Israel after I was in the states in 2008, and he wants to verify it is the same as what I stated on my DS-230(08/08). The reason I did not have a stamp is cause I used the hand print thing instead...

Anyhow, less than 2 hours later I already got the document and handed it to the reception desk.

it's been over 3 weeks, in which I try to stay in contact with the consulate through email which is the only way, and I was told at first that they received the documents but they are pending review, and yesterday finally they said that it is under officer's review.

How long could this review take? Does anyone have experience with it? It's one little document, you'd think it wouldn't sit on the desk for weeks but you never know I guess...Also, is it the same officer as the one who conducts the interview?

And lastly, is it possible for them to give a 221g for a document and not put me in AP(I know it is considered a form of AP but I mean THE AP), and after I submit the document put me in AP or should I not worry about that? Cause that would be a waste of time, if they wanna do that why not do it to start with while they wait for my document as well. So I'm just worried about wasting more time if after they finish reviewing it they decide they need to check more stuff.

From what I have seen many Israelis get into AP but it is usually short. You can't know though how long it'll be. I bet you'll hear soon. Good luck.

I'm also wondering if they could also all of a sudden request more documents that they "forgot" to before.

For instance, at interview day I brought with me the 2012 transcripts of our sponsor, being up to the NVC stage only 2011 was available, so made sure to have that with me. However, the consular officer did not even ask for it, and I forgot to even mention it.

Now I'm wondering if once they are done reviewing this, they'll be like oh btw we also need 2012 transcripts and then I have to wait again. It's slightly ridiculous.

Yes, they can ask, but I doubt they will. Just keep communicating with them. I think they check army records and everything so it's a little slow. Don't fret.

Well he did give me back my originals at the end of the interview which I think was a good thing, unfortunately, he also let me keep my passport lol

Thanks for your help! visa was finally issued today! one month minus a day from the interview, 8 months plus a day from NOA1, 6 months minus 6 days since NOA2, and almost one whole year since initial work on the paperwork for USCIS has begun. Time to celebrate
