Tbone Thanks...but im still confused about my new case number (manila case#)are they going to send me a notice thru email or by txt?...hope any filipina can giv some advice...smile.png

The MNL case number will both appear in the hard copy of NOA2 that the petitioner will receive and also the petitioner can call the NVC to ask for the MNL case number. The call to NVC is usually placed a week after NOA2 approval.

NVC will mail you a notice with your Manila case number but it comes weeks after it is issued. I recommend that you call the NVC a couple of times a day starting about 5 business days after your NOA2. They may tell you to call back in a week or two. If that happens thank them politely and call back later that day or the next.

As soon as you have your Manila case number you can pay your visa fee, schedule your appointment date, then go do your medical.

We were blessed as we had our Manila case number in 5 days and her interview one month after NOA2.

Hi! Did you not wait a letter of eligibility from USEM before you set your appointment? Because that was what i have been waiting for since i got my MNL #. My case though is ready since may 3.

You don't need to wait for your eligibility letter from the U.S. Embassy Manila. Since you already have your MNL case number, go ahead and pay the visa application fee at BPI and then schedule your interview appointment.

If you want to read the Embassy's letter, click here: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction_rtf2_005.pdf

Thank you very much. But am i already considered eligible? Ive called the USEM and they said that once my petition is received from NVc they will still have to check it. If its okay thats when theyll send me that notice or letter.

Im confused how come others went well without that letter from USEM. Or perhaps theyre application were okay ?and when USEM was about to send the letter they were already able to start their application and set their interview date?

Yes, you are eligible to schedule an interview. The Embassy prefers that you wait and schedule an interview after they have received your case from the NVC and after they have sent you an eligibility letter. However, it's not required to wait. You can schedule an interview once you have your MNL case number and you pay the visa application fee at BPI.

If Chinook had waited for the Embassy to send her an eligibility letter, she would still be in 'pinas. She never received an eligibility letter.
