18+ weeks of AP and Still Counting

My fiance had his interview on January 10th, 2013 at the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. The CO informed him that everything looked good but there is going to be administrative processing and it should take maybe a couple weeks or a month. Our case has been in AP since then with no changes. After two months of AP, I called the Department of State and was told basically that I just had to wait. A few weeks later, I went to my Congressman's office to see if they could help. They reached out to the embassy in Cairo and was told basically that the same information and that all we could do is wait. Our paperwork is "updated" once every month or two on the Department of State website (https://ceac.state.gov). Before I reached out to my Congressman, our case had not been touched for almost two months (Feb. 5 to March 28) and was only touched on the day that the update was requested. I waited another two months and reached out to my Congressman's office again last week to request an update on the case. Our case has not been "updated" since April 14th on the Department of State website. I am still waiting to hear back from my Congressman's office but I am not holding my breath regarding any good news. We started this journey over a year and two months ago and it seems to be never ending.

Today is my birthday and all I can feel is sadness because I thought for sure my fiance and I would be together by now.

Is there anything more that I can do? I am pretty sure the answer to this question is no but I just need to feel like I am doing something.
