I-864 Part 6 - New Form

Since I got NOA2 recently I am preparing the I-864. I went onto USCIS's website today and they recently posted a new I-864 dated 3/22/13 http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864.pdf

I am the USC filling the I-864 and I'm only sponsoring my wife with my income. However, the instructions for the new form regarding Part 6 Annual Household Income, Item Number 6 are a little confusing...

It says, "Take your annual individual income from Item Number 5. and enter it on Item Number 6.c." However, Item Number 6.a. - 6.c is for "Person 1."

Am I then "Person 1?" I thought that is for an additional person to be sponsored along with the main beneficiary (as it asks for Name and Relationship), so I am confused why the instructions say to put my income here.

What have others done here? I'm afraid if I list my income in Item Number 6.c. they might think there's another person being sponsored.

If you have household members whose income you are including you put them down. If not it's blank.

Just curious why you are not foilling I-864-EZ.

Did the NVC specifically asked you for I-864?

I agree if you're just using income and no joint sponsors, use the I-864ez. We did!

I didn't know I could! Yes, I'm just using my income and my wife is the only one being sponsored. I will definitely use this form instead. Seems more straightforward.

Are the requirements the same, just IRS transcript of your most recent tax return, and optional employment letter and pay stubs?
