Foreign Income?

Hello! I currently am an American who works in Japan. When I file for the K-1 Visa for my Indian fiance this fall, I was wondering if my Japanese income could count as proof for income for supporting my future husband (although we will be living in the USA).

It can be counted providing you file your tax return 1040 along with 2555 form. Also you would need to prove Page 4 item 2 on the I-864 instruction.

The Japanese income will not count because it would stop before your fiancée enters the US. Only income that will continue after you and your fiancée enters the US will count.

You will need a Joint Sponsor.
