Hello everyone...

Ok, I received a letter for each petition I130&I129f both was approved April 25, the I130 stated that will transfer to NVC while I129f stated that was transferred to the consulate in Haiti and if I have any questions I should call the consulate on file. The priority date is blank but on top of the letter listed my hubby name with an alien number and it says valid from April 25-Aug 25, 2013. tried to call Haiti I could not get connected to all 4 numbers listed. I don't know what to do now. Helpppppppppppppppp lol... Also how long does it take for NVC to receive transfer from uscis??? Thanks

Despite what the approval notice says regarding the I-129F, no file goes directly to an Embassy or Consulate from USCIS; it always goes to the NVC first. Since both petitions are likely to arrive at the NVC at the same time, the I-129F will be administratively closed per NVC policy because they will have an approved I-130 on-station.

The I-129F does not go to the consul right away. It has to be processed through the NVC first. Which means the NVC will close it.

Go with the CR-1.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Once approved your petition package is sent to shipping to go to NVC they do NOT ship daily. It takes time to get the boxes ready and out. It can be between a few day to about 8 weeks before your petition gets to NVC. All petitions go there to get their country specific numbers. If they find the I130 first it gets a number and the I129 F gets closed. If the I 129F gets picked up first it gets a number and you can continue that path.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Ok I understand but why NVC's telling me to contact consulate in Haiti. ? does the approval of I130 or I129f letter always include an alien number? Bcause the letter that I received for the I129f it include an alien number valid from the date it was approved 4/25-7/25 and the priority date left blank. Thanks NigeriaorBust

Half the time the person answering the phones is a new hire and telling you what they (mis)remember from training 101. You should be able to get a country specific number from NVC in a week or so. Don't be suprised if the K3 gets cancelled. I only see about 10 or so beat the I130 through NVC a year. The CR1 is actually better because you don't have to wait on work authorization and we know how everyone hates that. try this email papcons@state.gov or this number 1-877-917-2482 ( some embassy staff never answer the phone )
