Jordan Embassy AP confusion

Hi VJ community,

I'm a bit confused. Our case was put on AP at the Jordan Embassy and I have naturally been checking it everyday online. Last night my husband received a phone call from the Embassy requesting he send them his passport, I'm assuming this is a good sign, our online case status still shows as in AP though. I have been reading on here and not seen another case where the Embassy called and asked for the passport to be sent to them. so I'm really just kind of confused at this point. Any thoughts?

They need the passport to stamp the visa, otherwise they wouldn't ask for it usually.

Passport request is a good sign they are getting ready to issue the visa.

It won't change the status from AP until the visa is actually printed on the passport. Once it's printed on there, it will change to "Issued" or "read for pickup" ... Congrats!
