Looks like USCIS updated their I-864p (Poverty Guideline) and it says that for 2 people the US Citizen has to make 19k or more to qualify. I have been working full time for almost 3 years now and I make about 33k a year. I can provide 3 years of the tax transcript, paystubs & also employment letter but I am worried that when the time comes for me to send all this to my fiance I will have a problem. I don't have too much saved up in my bank account and I am afraid that we might not get approved because I don't have any savings in the bank. Can anyone advice please. Thank you.

You don't even need to show any bank info or savings etc if your current income meets or is over the guidelines. Only send the current income proof.

As long as you exceed the guideline you shouldn't have a problem. If you were right at the cutoff you might want to be prepared with more info, but you are well over. I didn't send any bank, property, life insurance or other asset info as my income exceeded the guidelines by a comfortable margin. With only 2 people total, $33k is a comfortable margin. You do want to include as much confirmation of that income as possible (tax returns, pay stubs, letter from employer, etc.) to fully demonstrate your income, but that should be all you need.

You don't have to show your savings account but I would suggest that you start saving some money now because the whole process is expensive once you get approved.

Medical Exam = $223.35

US Embassy Interview = $240.00

NBI Clearance, Birth certificate, CENOMAR, CFO certificate/sticker, other documents ~ $50

Plane ticket ~ $800-1000 for one person one way

Later, adjustment of status = $1,070.00
