sounds like the person you spoke with,

doesn't know about the I-130 adjudication unit in the other part of the building.

Ultimately, if you showed the RFE letter to that person's supervisor, you should have had other movement (floor supervisor moving to use a telephone to call the I-130 Adjudication Unit Supervisor in the other part of the building)

But - note that the person behind the glass really not know what's going on about I-130 adjudications, generally.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I have a infopass appointment with my local office. It is May 17 I am trying to find out if they received my I130 applications. It will be almost 60 days from my NOA1 was received on March 19. Is there any suggestion who to talk to and the right question to ask. I have three files I will bring my copies of my files. Thanks

I would recommend calling USCIS and ask to speak to a Tier 2 to see if your file was transferred to a field office. If you received a NOA1 then your petition has been received. Now you just need to wait and see what happens. Can you check the status of your petitions online?

I have received my NOA1 in March but there is no way online to check if it has been transferred. I sent a email over two week ago no response. I worked in a state government and know one thing. We all responded faster when someone would make personal visits. It like in politics if you write a personal letter to them it represents about 100 people. If you visit them personally it represent 1000 people. Why we have lazy society and they know if someone make this type of effort. If you show you are serious and could represent a problem. You have show you are committed to make things happen. You have to be respectful but can show you are serious. I would be interesting to see how many people who have done a infopass. If they have had faster results.

As i've said many times just e mail them and wait the 3 or 4 weeks it takes for them to e mail back, you cant do anything and it doesn't speed it up just by knowing what date your paperwork got transferred!

The only way to find out is by calling them.. speak with an IO, they can tell you.. emails are worthless
