Quick question.

My fiancee is traveling from Cebu to Manilla for the interview. She has to have her cell phone with her because she wont' be staying with anyone and she wants to leave the same night after the interview so she doesn't want to have to leave her cell phone at the hotel ....... can she take it and check it? I've read that you can and then I've read that you can't.

Any insight would be appreciated.

NO! They will not allow her to check the phone in. She will have to leave it at the hotel.

There should be shops close by that will "hold" your items for you, for a fee. How reliable they are, will have to be a judgement call. If you really don't need the cell phone or anything else that would keep you from entering the embassy, leave it behind. Easier said than done for stubborn Filipinas trying to demonstrate their independence, but this is one case where one has to swallow her pride and get with the program.

there is this woman outside the embassy who is taking care of people's stuffs that are not allowed inside the embassy; but she asks for P150-200 or more depending on what u will "deposit" to her.she will give u a number for the item u deposited with her pic and phone no. on it. she has been featured on tv. well, many applicants tried her service.. as wat i heard, sounds like she is ok but still not give my 100% trust.lol
