Yes. I filed in November and my case was transferred to the Philadelphia office in January. I went to an info pass appointment and they could not give me a time frame. A month and a half later I received the NOA2. So, it took about a month and a half after it arrived here in Philly to be adjucated. Hope this helps....although things change depending on the month and the volume, maybe it will be faster or slower for your case.

Philly is approving about 700 cases per month. Got mine approved in 2.5 months. Sending them to NVC is another story. They're way too slow and are making a lot of mistakes.

Thanks Guys !!

It sure beats waiting 8 months for VSC. The USCIS notice said they get transferred from the NBC but people on VJ are saying they may or may not get transferred. I don't care either way.. as long as someone does SOMETHING !!!!

Anyone else have a similar experience with Philly??

Just spoke to a level 2 customer service person at the USCIS. He was very nice. He said it is not noted in my case whether it was transferred or not but explained that if my file gets transferred, its not PHYSICALLY transferred. He said the processing time is 6 months no matter where the file is and who is processing it and in most cases it will get transferred to the field office if more information is needed ( if you ever had another case with the USCIS, spouse, parents, children etc... and other things) I had a previous K-3 case but I withdrew it before he ever got here. It was cancelled over 2 years ago. He told me mine will most likely goto the Philadelphia field office.

I mentioned the faster processing times ( that I saw online) he told me not to believe a word I read online... it is all false and hugely inaccurate...

Well, I just let him talk. I spent alot of time on VJ years back and all the info I got from here was VERY accurate and helped me so much. I wanted to rip into him about only giving me generic info but I know its just his job....

I'm going to sit here and just hope we get an approval before 6 months. The information line to the USCIS is ridiculously useless.

Hello,

No, I haven't called since because it seems whenever I call I am annoying someone by asking about my case. It makes me so angry. I did contact Senator Bob Casey's office about 2 weeks ago. I am waiting to hear something back. I was told it could take about 30 days to get a response. ( why it would take 30 days for a friggin' repsonse... I have no idea)

When I hear something I will post it. I don't expect it to be anything different than " your file is still within normal processing times"

Philly office isn't so busy one. Would have been nice if we got transferred. Would be bad if transferred and called the petitioner for an interview because I'm abroad lol. I had to put my US address everywhere on the forms, more reliable. My hopes were end of August and now it is in October. You know on my receipt notice I have Overlank Park Kansas but when I changed my address online after two weeks of NOA1, I recieved paper saying my change of address was successful and the letter came from Lee's Summit MO. What address do you have on your NOA1?

My NOA1 states Lee's Summit MO as the address. The Kansas Office is the office they are using because of the overflow of petitions. At least that is what I read a few weeks back. I also read this morning that someone from the MAY filer thread contacted their senator and the response was that the NBC has hired more people to process the files. If Philly isn't busy, I'd be more than happy to be transferred there.

The nbc hired more people to help process? Maybe we will see more than one vjer get processed in a week. Its absolutely infuriating to see the last vj noa2 was 8/2. I keep praying we will see noa2 by the end of summer. When I first applied I looked around, so many people were approved in 3 months +- 1 month. I feel like my application caused a fatal error in their system with this processing speed.

I feel the exact same way. INFURIATING is mild compared to how I feel though. Read the April Filer thread. We have a theory about what happened to our files HAHA
