NOA1 is referring to the Notice of Action that you received saying that they have received your petition.

If your receipt number starts with WAC, your petition is at California Service Center. If it starts with EAC, your petition is at the Vermont Service Center.

Welcome to the visa journey! The next thing that will happen is that you will either receive a NOA2 (approval of your petition) or a RFE (Request for Evidence). This will happen many months from now.

You can get more information from the Guides and the Flowchart. You will find these if you click on 'Guides' at the top of the page.

My receipt starts with MSC what does that mean??

Mari0224: You're on a CR-1 so your case is handled differently. You should check in the IR-1/CR-1 forum to be sure, but I think the MSC means Missouri, and possibly that's the national processing center for CR-1? Again, the process for K-1 is completely different so you won't get any useful info from this thread.
