Hi everyone,

I was wondering how many people were actually given shots at there med exams, which ones and what the cost was? Also, was everyone able to bring there shot records? Cause we wont be able to and I dont want him getting unnecessary shots. We are in Turkiye. (Turkey).

Any help is appreciated. He is scheduled next week for the med exam and we need to arrange the payment status according to what you guys tell us. I dont want him carrying around with more money than he needs to.

Thank you!!

The CS has a list of required items and missing shots can apply if you don/t have the proper documentation. Have him call and see the high and low amount for the exam.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I got a tetanus shot (was current on everything else age/ gender appropriate, brought in my shot records from childhood). I was not charged extra.

Thank you both. I wish there was a way we can get his shot records too, im sure he requires only one or two if any but sucks we wont be able to show them otherwise.

My husband will not have his shot record when he goes either. He tried to ask his family doctor for it and she said she didn't have it and his mother doesn't have it either. I don't think Turkey keeps detailed records or at least they didn't before. Not like here.

I said next week but my days are off lately, my fiance is going tomorrow. I'll let you know what they tell him so maybe you guys might get an idea of what to expect and how much $ to have with you.

Good luck.

Ok so they asked him if he has ever used drugs, obviously no, checked his arms and probably legs too for razor cuts and needle insertions (for signs of drug usage), asked if he ever had chicken pocks i think it is in english ( su cicegi in turkish) listened to his lungs also did an xray of lungs, (he smokes like a freaking chimney, Dr told him to quit or it will shorten his life :'( ) did blood work and was given two shots ( we dont know what they are, guess the dr. didnt think it was important to inform what he was injecting the patient with:/). he paid 470TL for the shots and 85 for the blood work and xray.

his appt was at 10:50AM, he was on the road a little past 8 and was at Ankara around 10:30, and in the office just in time. I dont think its too big of a deal if youre late a few minutes.

They told him he can get his results after 5PM so he hung around there til than and drove back after picking up his results.

Good luck to you guys.
