"Alien registration number changed"

I got my NOA1 earlier this month, April 8, 2013. The only update my case has gotten since then is April 15, 2013, which simply reads that the "alien registration number changed". What does this mean?

That seems to be normal, since December (about one week after noa1).

If you get one 5,6,7, etc months after your NOA1, then that seems to often prelude processing. Perhaps it is a way for the adjucator to "bookmark" an application they are working on. Not sure why, but it seems to happen

Oh okay. I didn't think much of it, thinking maybe that's what happens when they assign an alien registration number, since it is blank on the NOA1. But I'd thought I'd check, just in case it was something to be alarmed about. Thanks. :)

Doesn't mean anything but they opened your file. Check out this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/422788-april-filers-2013-k1/

Thanks. :)
