EegyptA,

We're right there with you, my friend. We have your same NOA1 date at CSC (August 6th) and it's time to take some action. I wrote my congressman last week, and will follow up with a senator next week. Congressman wrote me back and regurgitated the same info. that CSC has been telling us for the past 4 months. He was friendly and said he would inquire again in two weeks, but CSC is simply not processing cases any any acceptable level of speed.

We are going to hit 8 months this Saturday (the both of us) and there simply seems to be no end in sight.

Let me know how it goes for you. I actually live in California, so no doubt, the states offices are likely being inundated with complaints, casework requests, etc.

At the moment, it would help to be living in Montana or Wyoming or something. ;)

Good luck to you! As I'm sure you realize, even at 5 months processing time, we have now been delayed by essentially 3 months...

Thanks!

I think it is much smarter to write a short factual email to the congressman. Something like this...

My Egyptian husband had his interview on Jan 13, 2013 at the Cairo embassy. He was placed in AP. I am unable to get further information about his case.

I would appreciate a congressional inquiry on my behalf as soon as possible. Please forward me their response.

The governemnt people do not care about allthe details. They do not care if you love each other. They do not even care that you are apart and suffering.

What they do care about is Votes. So, if you are a registered voter it might have more persuation then a citizen who does not vote.

Good Luck
