I called up the CS today and they say that my application is with my local service center and we don't sent out notice to petitioner that NBC has forwarded the case to local service center. This information I got when I spoke to level2 support

DO all the cases with NBC get transferred to local center.

Any one else in this forum whose case got transferred to local service center . It's not getting frustrating . My application completed 4 months with USCIS and still I don't have a clue what's happening . In this case we don't have tentative processing time for MSC .

Forum please advice is there a way to get processing time for I 130 for NBC.

I guess we have the same predicament. Mine too is at NBC since my receipts starts with MSC and unfortunately for us there's no way we could have track our processing time even if this process is temporarily transferred to NBC.

If your case is for sure at your local service center, maybe you can check in there about status? I have no idea how you check with the local centers, but if you look into the spouse threads, there were lots of people whose cases were transferred to local centers. In fact, there were so many that people started thinking that all the cases were going to the local centers. But many do not. Ours stayed at the NBC/MSC and we got our approval in about 2 months.

I agree it was frustrating when I found out there was no way to get an estimate on how long approvals were taking. I just read a lot in the spouse forum (since there are so many people going through the IR-1/CR-1 process) and got an idea from that. Maybe you can find others whose cases are at/went to your same local service center...

Good luck to you in sorting it out!

I also was transferred from nbc to a local office. I found the office on the uscis site and have an infopass for next friday. I am unable to check status online and after trying to get it fixed with one of the departments, I was emailed that it was a 5 month processing time. I don't expect to hear anything different when I go, but I am going nontheless since I can not check it and will continue to do so every two weeks.

myimmhelp,

At this point there is no way to know. Just be patient. My I-130 was also routed to NBC back in October 2012 (a week after filing). Then it was transfered to my local USCIS office in November 2012. I could have been approved since February 2013, but I did not reply to the RFE was sent to me on February 7 from the local office. The RFE was for a missing copy of birth certificate. Recently (March 28th), I received a NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny) since I did not respond to the RFE. I was given 30 days to respond, but I did not even receive RFE. So I made appointment through Infopass on April 2. I handed the IO at my local office a copy of birth certificate. On April 3th, my I-130 was approved. So, this is how it did work for me. If everything goes well, you will be approved in less than 5 months. Good Luck!

My pd is 12/3/2012 , so u predict my mom case would get approved before 5:3/2013.

Hope your prediction comes true,,,, My patience is running out now.... It's a. Standalone application with very few documents to verify ( birth certificate & us citizenship )

myimmhelp,

My I-130 for father was also a standalone application. The RFE was sent because they couldn't find a copy of my birth certifcate in the file. If you have submitted a copy of the birth certifcate and copy of your naturalization certifcite, they should not take longer for you to see something this month or early next month. That's my prediction. It's a good thing when a case is transfered to your local USCIS office. It does speed things up.

Can I get a RFE after waiting for 4 month , what are the possibilities ....

If you have submitted all the required documents, you should not receive any RFE. In my father's case, I submitted: a copy of my birth cert, a copy of my parents marriage cert and copy of my naturalisation certs. The RFE was sent because they could not find a copy of my birth certs in the file. So, I don't think you will receive a RFE.
