for me, it'll whatever i can do first. if i have everything ready for the k1 interview, then i'll do that. but take consideration that it'll expire in 6 months.

CRBA is a different thing, as of now there's no opened appointment dates for that yet, it's full until 2nd week of august.

as for my case, i will make an appointment right after i give birth. =) i hope NSO will not take long for my baby's birth certificate.

i hope you can share your experience with me, thanks in advance.

Don't forget to apply for Advance Endorsement of your baby's BC at the Local Civil Registry. If you don't, you'll wait 6 months before you can get an NSO copy.

Hi VJ!

I just want to know if its okay to have my K1 interview first before doing CRBA and Passport Application for my son?

Thank you for your thoughts!!

As others have said, it can take 6 months before getting CRBA handled so I would NOT do the K-1 inteview first as its entirely possible for the visa to expire (its only valid for 6 months from the date of the medical) before you have your son's passport.

Get CRBA completed first, then schedule your interview for your visa. If you need extension for the K-1 the embassy can extend that for up to a year, simply call them.
