We just got approved on 3/29 (56 Days). Only the work permit says the card was ordered. The AP says it was a noticed that would be mailed to us. How long for card.

It says we have to bring it to the interview on 4/16. Will they take that from her then if she is approved?

Would it be wise to apply for drivers license prior to the interview so that way we don't have to wait for the green card to come in the mail if they take her EAD?

Thanks!

David

Driver license is a personal choice. If you receive the EAD card before the interview you have to bring it with you and they will take keep it if they approve you. between the interview and the arrival of the greencard you'll have at least 8 days but it can take up to 30 days according to them.

You'll probably get the EAD card in 1-2 weeks after the card production notice

My wifes said the same and the combo card came 9 day after the approval. Yes you can get your Drivers license with your EAD. I don't see how the could take your EAD as you may be looking for jobs or the need to travel while waiting for Green Card production. I would tell them that in the interview..
