you do not meet the requirements for a K-1 visa, you must have met in person within 2 years prior to filing, you haven't seen her since 2010.

Don't apply for the tourist visa!!! my fiance applied for one and was denied saying he didnt have enough ties to the UK......sooooo we applied for the K1 and sent it in about a month ago.......ya it takes time n its a big commitment, but if u have been together long enough and wanna be with them, its the best way!!! hope it all works out for u :)

they do NOT meet the requirements for a k-1, they have not seen each other in 3 years. For a k-1 you must have met in person within 2 years of filing. Before giving advice you need to read details.

We can sure find better ways of correcting people/pointing out the rules without sounding hostile or even confrontational.

OP, tourist visas are granted on the applicant's own merit. There are stringent rules set forth in the B1/B2 requirements. The applicant is required to submit documents to support the claim that s/he will return home after a temporary visit to the United States. Such supporting documents may include, but not limited to:

a) such as proof of ownership of property

b) bank statements

c) proof of employment

d) proof of strong family ties, etc.

The only way to know if you stand a chance is by actually applying. You only have your application fee to lose.

Below are also links to the instructions for 129F & 130. Best of luck!
