Referencing Student Visa interview at Green Card interview?

Hello!

So my fiance is on a student visa and we are wondering if at the green card interview (after we are married) do they reference the student visa interview? Do they have access to all of the answers he gave at that interview? Or is it mostly just "what did you have for breakfast, what are your hobbies together" etc?

There was no reference at our AOS interview. But at the us embassy in Tokyo there is hardly any interview at all. It's mostly "Oh, you want to study abroad? Here's your visa."

I don't really think they will reference it, unless there was something unusual.

If the student visa is bhought up during the AOS interview you will have to talk about it.

not really, but just nervous that he might forget an answer he gave at the time and give a different one or one that isnt exactly the same and they'll deny us

Yes they have access to all files from the student visa interview, anything he said at the boarder to immigration etc. That doesn;t mean they will use it, unless something "weird" becomes apparent, such as he said he had a child at home to increase his ties for the student interview but now doesn't list one etc.

Forget the Horror stories, this your story and not anyone else's. we spent 3 months worried about other people's stories and our interview was painless. Just answer their questions truthfully and as long as your marriage is legit you have nothing to worry about. If you start trying to cross reference question answers your going to make mistakes.
