I-130/ G-325a - Beneficiary's dual citizenship

Hello,

I am the beneficiary. I was born and raised in France, but got the French citizenship at the age of 13, when my parents became French. However (don't how or why... I was 13) I kept a dual citizenship (French and Tunisian).

Where could we specify this? Is it required? I never lived there, my Tunisian passport has expired and I am not planning to get another one, as I only use my French passport.

So we were wondering if we should mention it - if yes, where or when - or would it be considered as a lie if we don't?

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

-2014-05-09: IV package accepted
-2014-06-04: Case complete
-2014-06-11: Interview scheduled (July 23rd - APPROVED)
-2014-08-01: Visa in hand
-2014-08-04: POE

- 2016-05-05: CRI-89 - Petition to remove conditions sent

- 2016-05-10: NOA received

- 2016-06-13: Biometrics

Definitely mention it.

What I did is that where it asks for citizenship, I put Irish/ Swiss.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Did they ask you to prove both citizenships? As my Tunisian passport has expired, I will have not proof... Did they consider you as Irish or Swiss? Did they take into account the country you were born in?

They looked briefly at my Swiss passport (also expired, but I still had it), but I offered it, not sure they'd have asked for it. I interviewed in Ireland and presented my Irish passport for the visa, but the visa stated my citizenship as Swiss- probably because it's my birth citizenship.

Thanks.

As there isn't enough space on the G-325a form to put "French/Tunisian", I will add a sheet of paper to mention my Tunisian nationality and to explain that I won't be able to prove it with a valid document as my passport has expired.

I will also put " I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing is true and correct" and sign the letter.

Hope it will be sufficient.

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

No, not at all. No comment was made and my processing was done before our lugage came out. I think dual citizenship is quite common.
