My I-130 was approved on March 29th and is still not at NVC. I call them everyday. I've sent a scanned copy to research@NVC and got the standard return email that they are checking with USCIS. My husband is the petitioner and when he was here we called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 rep. He said he was unable to tell if it had left the service center yet and put in a request to have it sent. He then gave me some long a$$ confirmation number to use if I need to call back. Has anyone else received a confirmation number from USCIS? I've haven't seen it mentioned on any of the threads yet. I can't call them back because they will only talk to the petitioner and since my husband is not here anymore he can't give them permission to talk to me. My next step is to get my husband to contact his congressman. I'm so frustrated!!!

Your file is sitting in the back room at your local office that processed it just like mine!!

I was approved April 19 and went to an infopass yesterday to find out what was up.. found out that it was sent to the national records center.. another fancy term for it's in the back room waiting for someone to send it.

I also have emailed nvc, but found out about the file before nvc did.

I have started the congressman process.

I have also started several other processes.

I encourage you to do the same if you can.. especially taking an infopass if you can confirm which office your file was processed at. If it wasn't at your local office, then the phone calls are the way to go.

The officer I spoke to was nice enough.. her point was that they still don't have a good grasp on the processing of I-130's since it was assigned to them in August of last year.

Good luck
