So we send a letter to the senator of WA and he received it but my question is now, do we wait until they contact us or do we call? I told my fiance he should call the senator but he doesn't know exactly what to say, because we send a letter explaining all.. so its awkward. Any suggestions?

Why did you send a letter? Unless you need a super urgent expedite, give it at least a few weeks before you call them, they will need to make enquiries before being able to tell you anything.

Because we are on month No 8 now. We filled on August. I know lots of people are waiting and our cases is the same as many people, but many are being approved or have been approved and we have nothing. I freaked out because I lost my job too so I was like "oh and the petition is still pending now what?"

Did you send it to Cantwell or Murray? Doesn't really matter, both of their staffs are pretty helpful. When you get ready to call, sit down with your fiance and make some notes of what you want to get out of the conversation.

FWIW, I think you may get even better service working through your congressman's office. They seem to take a more personal interest in your case, but that may just be luck of the draw.

i have also passed the 8 month mark now, and after waiting and waiting, and kid soon to finish the school year in the end of June and wondering if we should place her in a summer camp or sign her up for summer babysitting (bother you have to pay in advance, non refundable.. and me working full time)I am definately going a bit crazy here, talked to my finacé and he decided finally to call his congressman for info and opinions and help because he finds the situation with CSC ridiculous. i understand everyone is waiting, but I'm sure there are many of us living in different countries from each other all putting life on hold till the last minute for things like these. I'm just hoping and praying for everyone to get answers soon, waiting is always hard and stressful.

i'm sorry you must wait so long! i know what it's like to wait 7 month! every day is painfull..

we wrote a senator too, even 3 of them.. we never got any answer from any of them, but the approval came in 2 weeks after that.. it stays mystery, whether the senators had done anything or not

be patient!! waiting does have the end!!
