I can't seem to find where I go to print those out? We just got our case # tonight and hubby emailed the DS-3032 as well. I'm just trying to make sure I have everything in order. I can't find where to print them out or where I log in to pay invoices. Does that come in an email once the DS-3032 is accepted or am I expected to know where to go to find it. And since I have a case number does that also mean I have an assigned IIN too? If so I guess I need to call back and get that. I was so excited to hear we have a case number my brain has just stopped functioning.

Yes, if your case number was assigned and you didn't get the IIN, then call back to get it.

When you say cover letter, do you actually mean the bar-coded cover sheet?

Cover letter = optional and something you write up on your own, basically giving a list of what you're submitting

Bar-coded cover sheet = required and provided by NVC, showing proof you paid the bills

The bar-coded cover sheets only become available once the respective bill has been paid on the payment portal. After you pay a bill, you'll then click on the button that says 'Print Document Cover Sheet'.

I highly suggest you click on the last 2 links on my signature and do some reading over the weekend!

I did mean the barcode cover sheet. I said my brain wasn't working! haha I called back and got the IIN and he gave me a beneficiary ID, I don't think I have seen ANYTHING about that before. Thank you for the help and I am very familiar with many of your links!!!! Thank you so much for all you do to keep them up. You make me feel completely capable of doing all this without a lawyer! I'm certainly going to read some more of your links this weekend.

Haha, don't worry, everyone's brains stop working at some point during the immigration process ;)

And don't worry about the beneficiary ID number, it's only needed by those doing online forms, and UK isn't an eligible country. You just need the case number and IIN (which grats by the way on getting!).

I find that reading and re-reading helps to absorb the information better!

Thanks

If both bills are appearing as PAID in the payment portal, you're able to send in the packages. You need to read the guides here on VJ on what to send. Don't waste any more weeks waiting on NVC. Like I suggested earlier, click on the last 2 links in my signature. They contain all the information you need.

After reading and PRINTING the FAQ I know not to worry that I am getting the "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information." I'm so excited!!! This likely means we are getting invoiced!!! WOO HOO.

If you gave over both email addresses once the case number was assigned, NVC sends correspondence by email. Despite this, I never got information about the AOS package. As for the IV package, they don't detail every single document you need. They point you to their website.

Most people start putting the packages together before they're even at NVC. You could have done this weeks ago if you had read the guides here or searched on NVC's site which has everything you need.

Again, click on the last two links in my signature. They'll direct you to all the guides and wikis on NVC, as well as a FAQ on this process.

After reading and PRINTING the FAQ I know not to worry that I am getting the "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information." I'm so excited!!! This likely means we are getting invoiced!!! WOO HOO.

good.gifgood.gifGlad you read the FAQ and know what to do ;)

Do you have both packages ready to go when the time comes?

I was up till 1am last night putting the final touches together and actually doing cover letters for the AoS and IV packages. All I need now is to find the address for them and wait till they are marked as paid.

I have everything (all the copies) organized and ready to ship to my husband in England too. I just have to wait for the other marriage abstract to arrive. I had 2 but one went in my I-130 and another in IV package and read that he needs an original (not photocopied) one to take for his interview. Once I get my two package to NVC mailed off and the package to him I am going to need a vacation!!! This has been exhausting since December getting all this together, but I am finally sensing the end is near! 39 days for I-130. I'm hoping for the 3 week mark for the NVC with no hiccups and then just down to London for scheduling the interview.

I'm hoping the fact I have printed versions of my taxes and co-sponsors and not the IRS tax transcripts doesn't hold anything up. I read that they prefer those but of course didn't see that until we were already to this step and I'm hoping I don't get asked to acquire those since last night when I checked looks like it would a take a couple weeks to get those and I would HATE to have to ask my co-sponsor to do anything else.

The address for each package is on the bar-coded cover sheets from the payment portal. If you've paid the bills, they're available to print out.

And you only need photocopies of documents submitted for the interview. You don't need to bring originals/certified copies as those are sent to NVC.

Tax transcripts don't take long to get. It's been less than 2 weeks each time me and my husband have requested them. Most of them came within a week actually. Request them now so you can have them for the interview at least, in case they want them. Or you could even offer them at the interview and they'll happily take them.

Still waiting to be able to pay the bills...I'm still getting the "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information." message. So I still can't get the bar code pages yet until they request to take the money I will happily give them! haha Good idea on the tax transcripts to have them ready for the interview if they don't request them at the NVC before that. Thanks!
