You can translate them yourself if you're competent in both languages, say Spanish and English? I translated my own birth certificate with no issues; I'm a linguist/philologist although you don't need any title, nor the translation needs to be notarized. Just attach a page to the translation certifying you're competent to translate such documents.

From the USCIS page:

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

I can't see why they would deny you for translating it yourself, IF you're fluent in both languages and make an appropriate professional-like translation (format, etc.) You'll find tones of cases of people who did it themselves and had no issues. And again, it's fine if you want to get it notarized, BUT it's not mandatory/necessary.
