I got my residence thru marriage almost 3 years ago, I'm staring to plan my application for july.

My husband and I have filed taxes together for 3 years, this year we are considering filing them separate, I would like to know if doing this will affect getting my citizenship.

Doesn't matter, do whatever is financially better for you, as long s you file as married.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

This won't affect your citizenship. Just make sure you bring the IRS transcripts with you to your interview. smile.gif

02/13/2013 Received 2nd NOA (Interview scheduled)
02/15/2013 Received yellow letter from USCIS to bring DL
03/18/2013 N-400 Interview
03/20/2013 Status changed to in que for Oath ceremony
03/29/2013 Status changed to Oath ceremony scheduled and letter sent
04/01/2013 Received Oath Letter
04/09/2013 Oath Ceremony (N-400 completed in 2 months 3 weeks and 5 days)
