My wife and I married in late December and are sending out the documents tomorrow but Im having problems finding the I-94 number.

There is a passport number, control number (14 digits with 3 zeros before the final digit), an A-number, and a red number beginning with

the letter F. Nothing else other than those and all the numbers printed at the bottom. Only handwritten number is the A-number (alien number)

Help is you can. Thanks.

Nick

It is the black printed number at the top. Right under "Departure Number" and above "Immigration and Naturalization Service I-94 Departure Record." Ours was 11 digits.

Good luck,

Dave

It's on the I-94, not the visa. You are looking in the wrong place.

What are you applying for? This is the K-1 Fiancee Visa section, but you are already married, so I assume you are applying for adjustment of status? Regarding the I-94, she should have received a white slip of paper stapled into her passport when she entered the country. That is the I-94. If you adjust status, you must also send in a copy of the I-94 with your documents.

There was NOTHING stapled to her passport. I've looked it over again and again and nothing. She also says that she doesnt recall anything even being stapled to her passport.

Hmm, that's odd. Maybe an Infopass appointment at your local office or a visit to the airport (deferred inspection) could help, but I would definitely try to get that I-94. She will need it to adjust status and apply for a Social Security Number.

Go to a deferred inspection site and get one. That should have been fixed immediately but hopefully they can fix it now. You need it. Google CPB deferred inspection.
