Hey guys,

So I received my RFE last week, for something (marriage certificate) I had already sent! So, I plan making an InfoPass for Wednesday to hopefully to see if they have it. If not, my husband can probably get the certificate Tuesday and fax it to me. (They said they want just a copy, so this would work, correct??)

Also, let's say I figure out the RFE Wednesday, how long is it to get approved after?

And after the NO2, how long is it until U.S. entry? [This is my main question!]

I've been looking at Timelines and see that after approval, it goes to NVC. And U.S. entry is about 2 months after.. What exactly happens there??

(Please don't just provide links, I would much appreciate someone to dumb it down for me -- even though links will be helpful!)

I heard that your visa doesn't have to be issued to you for US entry, that they stamp your passport in order for your spouse/fiance to come and later on, you get it.

Lol, basically, I want to guesstimate when my hubby will be joining me! :innocent:

Thank you for any help!!

From NOA2 to POE, it really varies depending on each case. If I HAD to make a guesstimate, I'd say you'll probably spending 1 - 2 months in NVC, then another two months until your interview, and then probably two weeks or so until you actually have the visa in your hand, depending on how your consulate sends you the passport. So, generally, it takes 4.5 months or so from NOA2 to visa in hand, and from there it's up to you when the POE happens. Keep in mind, this is VERY general. NVC could go faster or slower, your interview could get assigned right away or take ages - it all depends on how proactive you are in NVC and how busy your consulate is.
