Consulate Review: Costa Rica
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 26, 2013
Embassy Review : My husband arrived around 1030am. People were already waiting in line, but the guard didn't let anyone in until 10 minutes 12. He took people three by three. My husband was asked about 2-3 questions from a woman first: 1) How did we know each other/meet? 2) When did we first become bf/gf. 3) Why he decided to be my boyfriend. My husband provided a photo along with one of his answers. He had more, so the woman asked to see the rest of them. He said the woman was nice and laughed at some things he said. Then, he talked with a man. He asked more questions; 1) where my husband will live when he comes 2) where does my mom work / tell him about my mom 3) question about medical exam [husband needed to retake & asked if I knew about this] The man was nice as well. It was pretty quick. I gave it a 4 because it wasn't extremely easy (2 askers); I wish I could have given it a 4 1/2 lol. Oh, and they said they will call him this coming week when to pick up the visa. I am SUPER happy and cannot wait until my hubby will finally be with me <3
Rating : Good

POE Review: Newark
Event Description
Entry Date : 2013/10/30
Embassy Review : Filling out for my hubby: He told me that they just asked him one question at POE: "how long have you been married?" My husband answered it, and they just looked through the visa packet papers. That was it.

Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
