Hey guys,

I have read alot about how to filling tax return while spouse is out side the USA. I will be filling with Married Filing Separately and I know I will need to send in mail to IRS.

I was trying my self with Turbo tax and I am not seeing option to send in Mail, all I see e-filling. I am guess once I complete then I will go perview and printout? Can someone plz help who had file like me before...

My spouse case is in NVC and I wanted to get this done with in 2 days...

I will be mailing tax return to IRS..I will be making a copy and will seng along with AOS package. I am hoping NVC will accept even IRS not process in their ststem, since it will take few weeks or NVC will wait until IRS accepted?

I live in Florida, I think I will be sending my return to:

Department of the Treasury

Internal Revenue Service

Austin, TX 73301-0015

Thanks in Advance,,

Once you fill it out you can print it and send it in, yes. This is how I did mine lat year. I sent a copy with the W-2 forms to the NVC and all was good.

I don't think you can claim her if she doesn't have a social security number.

He's not trying to claim her, there is just a huge deal with trying to get an ITIN so that a couple could file "married, filing jointly" so many people are filing "married, filing separately" because you are married and have to file that way. You also have 3 years to amend a "married, filing separately" but only until the end of tax season to amend a "married, filing jointly" as far as I've read.

Turbo Tax gives you the option to print/save.

That's what you want.

Then write NRA where her soc security goes.

i don't think you can claim her if she dosen't have a social security number.

Also, to build on what Niki said, yes you CAN claim her, he just doesn't want to go through the process of doing so
