For first time applicants after naturalization, do they deny passport with a little older photographs ? Does the photo has to be exactly taken within six months ?

Do they try to match it with some older applications ?

I do not understand this. You spent well over $2000 to get this far and you are worried about a $9 passport photo you can get at any Walgreens or FedEx Kinkos? I guess if the photo still looks like you and your appearance has not changed significantly you can still use it ,but if you are questioning it why would you risk not getting the passport over a $9 photo? It is like those people that pay to have the passport expedited at the passport office, but only pay for priority mail because express mail costs $20 more. It is up to you if you want to use the older photo, but IMHO I would not risk it (There is no way they will know how old the photo is unless your appearance has changed).

Good luck,

Dave

Do you look significantly different from the picture? If you have to question it, you probably shouldn't use it. Play it safe and give them a new accurate passport picture so you don't have to lose sleep over this. Good luck.

Since I take my own photos, cost 19 cents a Walgreens for six of them on a 4 by 6" sheet. Don't use those anyway, used the photo now taken at biometrics, least at our field office. Wasted 19 cents. Even our small Walgreens store takes passport photos, watched a kid do it, has a program that automatically resizes it, took him about ten seconds.

Wasn't a complete waste, needed those photos for US passports.
