I'm just wondering how many passport photos we will need for the interview. I understand that you need one for the medical, and the DS 156 needs one, but do the copies of the form also need them?

And when the checklist asks for the photos, how many are needed and does that include the ones that need to be glued down onto the forms? (does every form NEED the photo, even the copied forms)

Thank YOU!

You don't glue anything. Only the original forms needs photos where the instructions say to attach them.

Get about 8-12 photos as you'll need them later for AOS and ROC, etc.

Unless it is more expensive to get the US format photo ID in your country than it actually is in the US (it is more expensive in France cause it is unusual to get that format...)

I think you'll need 2 for the interview, for the medical it depends (but you can have normal size ID pics, doesn't need to be US size). I needed 3.

Check on your country's portal, under consulate information, you should find the info there.

Good luck!

Good luck in your visa journey!

I didn't glue or even attach the photos. I gave one with my medical, and then 2 I had paperclipped to my forms for the interview and they attached them for me there. Your packet 3 checklist will say how many photos you need.

This could be embassy specific as to how many you need. We needed 2 for the medical (one for the medical exam and one for the laboratory tests), 2 for the DS-156 and 2 more for the interview. We didn't attach the photos to the DS-156 forms, they stapled the photos at the interview how they wanted it. All we needed was 6 photos, and it was also clearly stated in the K-1 instructions sent from the embassy.
