If the child is still in the womb then there is no visa requirement. If the child has one of the parents being a USC then the child will be or can become when born a USC but the proper paperwork must be submitted. Look at the consulate website for the procedures for registering a birth abroad. If you file all the paperwork, the child will be issued a US passport.

If she is still pregnant at the time if the medical exam she need to let them knos so that they don't X-Ray her. X-Rays are no good for the un-born baby.

Basically, the child will become a US citizen at conception, only if it is the US citizen who did the dirty dirty.

Is that true? What if the child is born on US soil.... does it make a difference then?

YMMV

No that doesnt apply if the child is conceived in the US because they are a citizen by their own right. The poster's pregnant fiancee is abroad, but he needs to say who made the fiancee pregnant to get an accurate answer.

Yes, life starts at conception.

No that doesnt apply if the child is conceived in the US because they are a citizen by their own right. The poster's child is abroad.

Conceived? Think again....

So a British couple are here on holiday and while they are here they conceive a child. The child is then born 9 mos later in there home in the suburbs of London. You are telling me the child is a US citizen because conception occurred on US soil.... Think again.......

I think if they can prove it, the child will be a citizen. Plane tickets, hotel reservations, that are 9 months preceding the child's birth.
