I485 Ahead of I765 & I131???

Is this normal?

My I-485 Cast status says "TESTING AND INTERVIEW - Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview."

But my I765 & I131 are still at initial review?

Sometimes that happens. If you interview before the EAD/AP approval, then they will just cancel those because the greencard covers work and travel so you won't need the EAD/AP card.

No clue. We didnt interview and I don't keep up with timelines anymore. Depends on your local office and how busy they are.

been given an interview date of March 27th. My EAD/AP is due for approval 2nd week of March? Will they still go ahead with sending me the EAD/AP even with the interview scheduled?

I am due to start work April 1st.

Maybe, maybe not. I got my EAD/AP approved a few weeks before my AOS interview (and I would add, after I got my interview notification), but some other people in the same case never got their EAD/AP.

But if you are approved on the spot at your interview, you may ask the officer if he/she can stamp your passport so it will show that you are a permanent resident and so, able to work. After explaining that you find a job and are expected to start a few days later, for sure.

Hi Elora & Rob,

I'm in the same situation today. I just checked and my I-485 is at the testing and interview stage, whereas the others are at initial review still. This can only be a good thing I think! I hope my interview will be scheduled as soon as yours has been - it would be great to get it all done by the end of March!

Good luck with the interview and hope you're settling into US ok! Our whole immigration timeline seems to be pretty similar from the start!

My case is also similar. Yesterday I received an email from USCIS mentioning "i-485 Your Case Status: Testing and Interview" But I have not received anything about EAD. I want to know how long will it take to get my EAD? The email from USCIS is like this:

IF you will click on your timeline, scroll down to EAD section-- there is an estimated approval date range based on the average of all the people who have been receiving EAD. It is a guess. Nobody knows for sure.
