Are the documents below adequate to show the proofs?

Thank you. I'm about ready to file my I-129F.

The more variety, the better--just remember that this doesn't mean VOLUME--it means different examples.

Do you have any hotel or travel receipts?

Do you have any other proof of being in the same town together (receipts for ATM's or dining or whatever)?

Do you have tangible mail--postcards, letters, romantic or Christmas or birthday cards (Valentine's is next week! This is a perfect example to have in the folder for the interview. We included ZERO email or chat "evidence" and the interviewer did take the time to look at the physical correspondance.)?

Do you have your declaration of intent? (We printed a copy and then handwrote the exact thing below that then signed so that it would be clear that it was from each of us and also legible.)

There are many different varieties of things to include. Something to look at are some of the RFE threads--the biggie, unfortunatly, seems to be so full of fluff that it is all but impossible to find any real information, but other threads where the specifics of what was asked for might help you to know what kinds of things are often looked at/looked for/missing.

Good luck.

Unfortunately I did not have the hotel receipt and cards. During my stay in Cambodia, I stayed with my family and she did the same. And we talked to each other everyday so we didn't really send each other cards or anything.

it's ok. Do it now (postcards I mean). Keep it for the interview (or in case you have a RFE), it is alxays nice to have a few, just in case. (but I think most people communicate via internet now... so they must be used not having a lot of cards)

Good luck in your visa journey!

Sorry for late reply. It took 6mths from start to finish.

When I was in Cambodia, I took G-325A with me for her to sign, and wrote Letter certifying intent to marry for her sign. Then after the engagement, we asked the officer to make and notarize Engagement Certificate in khmer and english. If you have no connection, they be charging u like $100+. But with connection, it's a free :) ..See below

- I-129F

- I-129F Addendum: Part B: Information about your alien fiancé(e), Question 2, Address (Since the address is too long)

- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)

- G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)

- Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)

- Copy of US Passport (Petitioner)

- Copy of Petitioner US Citizenship certificate (front & back)

- Engagement Certificate (2 pages, Khmer/English)

- Extract of Birth Certificate (2 pages, Khmer/English)

- Proof of having met in person in the past two years

- Copy of plane ticket, expense receipts, engagement ring receipts, & pictures

- Proof of ongoing relationship (Call histories)

I put together the K-1 petition last night. So I have:

1) email reservation and confirmation of the hotel I stayed at

2) the original boarding passes to and from Colombia. I tried photocopies but some of them didn't show up so I had no choice.

3) our flight reservation for a trip inside Colombia that has both our names and ID#s on it

4) photo copy of my passport with all my entry/exit stamps

5) wire transfers to her bank account from 2009 to 2013 basically every month.

6) Photos of both of us, some light smooching so it is obvious

7) copy of cards she has sent me

I hope that is enough.

That actually sounds good as far as evidence is concerned. Just make sure to have everything else the instructions ask for, multiple forms, intent letters etc. and you should be good.

The advice so far in this thread seems pretty spot on, but I wanted to add one thing from your original post that I didn't see being addressed. You said you have pictures of an engagement ceremony. Be very careful to insure that these state engagement ceremony on them. I have seen threads in here of people being denied and having to go through extra RFE's because whomever was looking at their evidence had mistaken engagement ceremonies for Wedding ceremonies. As long as you make sure it's clearly not a wedding ceremony then you should be fine. I just wanted to mention it to save you any possible hassle down the line.

I agree. So basically on the back of the picture make sure u wrote a little description on it. I did when i sent out. Any receipt in Khmer, I just wrote, one or two words. For ex, ring receipt, i just wrote in English saying "receipt for engagement ring" something like that.

Hello!

Please post your own topic if you want to make sure people will check it and answer your questions.

About boading passes, I would advice to hold to the original and send copies, even if they are not very readable. You will bring the originals to the interview, if they want to check them there, they'll be able to. It doesn't happen often but some files and some evidences get lost in the process sometimes... if you don't have the original, then what do you do?

I would be carefull about showing money transfer evidences, I have read somewhere that is was not seen as a good thing by some consulates. Please post your own topic to check this out and get complete anwser on your questions.

To the OP: Mr Smiley is right: copy of your boarding passes would be very good to add (if you don't find them add your e-tickets, but boarding passes (or even lugguage stickers) are better)

Good luck in your visa journey!
