Hello,

I am getting all my forms in order to mail to start my CR-1 Visa application for my husband. ( I am currently waiting to be sent my official marriage license from Canada).

I have a question about the g325 A form though, I notice that it says File number # ____ ? What needs to go in this space?

Also for the box which asks:

"This form is submitted in connection with: "

what would be the proper box or fill in to provide?

1/15/2013 - Married

USCIS:
4/11: Mailed out IR-30 via FedEx Ground
4/15: Forms received by USCIS Chicago (Signed)

12/2: Case Transferred to CSC

12/17/2013: NOA-2!!!! (8 Months, 2 days)

NVC:

12/27/2013: Case received by NVC

1/23/2014: NVC Case #, BIN, & IIN received.

1/31/2014: DS-261 Available & filled out.

2/4/2014: AOS Invoice available & paid

2/7/2014: I-864(AOS) completed & sent

2/11/2014: IV Bill availiable and paid.

2/14/2014: DS-260 completed (IV)

2/14/2014: DS-260 support documents sent

2/26/2014: I-864 (AOS) documents received and logged by NVC.

3/4/2014: Checklist for AOS ( I knew it :|a)

3/5/2014: Checklist for AOS submitted

3/7/2014: DS-260 documents received & logged by NVC

3/13/2014: IV packet + documents approved and logged

4/14:2014: Case Complete!!! (3 months 2 weeks 4 days @NVC)

Consulate:

Medical: 05/28/2014 ✓

Interview: 06/03/2014 (?)

Consulate didn't like our police records, have to resend--> AP

APPROVED: 07/02/2014

visa in hand: 07/11/2014

PoE: Halifax Stanfield International (07/25/2014)

REMOVING CONDITIONS:

06/10/2016: Packet Mailed

06/16/2016: Check Cashed

7/11/2016: Biometrics Appointment

Always consult the example forms when filling stuff out. http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-G-325A.pdf

In the example "This form is submitted in connection with: " is done for an I-129F which clearly you are not filing for, you would change that part to suit what your filing for.

USCIS stage ( 66 days)

12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).

Uh oh. After reading this thread I realize I mistakenly checked "status as permanent resident" because ultimately that is the end result. We are filing for the I130. Will that delay things?

12/30/2012 Got married!

02/01/2013 Sent I-130 via Priority Mail USPS

02/05/2013 NOA1 Priority Date

04/09/2013 Called USCIS-informed by Tier 2 officer that my case was transferred to Washington D.C. on March 13

09/05/2013 NOA2

09/27/2013 NVC received case

Submitted DS-261

Paid AOS bill

10/16/2013 Paid IV bill

10/19/2013 Submitted DS-260
10/21/2013 Mailed AOS and IV packages overnight

11/15/2013 IV package accepted/Checklist for AOS

11/26/2013 New AOS documents received at NVC

12/19/2013 Case Complete

12/27/2013-Received Interview letter

01/26/2014-Husband's Medical Exam

02/13/2014-Interview- Approved, but the consular officer did not see I-864 joint sponsor documents, and sent my husband home with the packet of all the original documents, and told him to mail it in when he gets it. My husband realized that the "missing" documents had been there all along. Husband immediately mailed it back.

02/26/2014-Consular office received "missing" documents and gave it to CO for review

03/17/2014-Visa Issued!

03/20/2014- Received Visa

03/21/2014- POE!

with all the other info, you should be fine. They will figure out it is for that anyway. People have made bigger mistakes and still made it good.

Many people do that on the beneficiary's g325a and it works out fine.
