Congrats to you... Question.. Did you get any online updates right after your interview? We got approved on the spot yesterday and I am just wondering when I will be hearing anything from them?

Their system is really bad so don't worry about notifications anymore, 2 or 3 weeks max you'll get your green card in the mail. In my case, I got an email that my case was being reviewed. Some people get their card production notification the same day. You got approved so dont worry, the hard part is over :D you'll get your green card soon (same process as EAD: card production, second card production etc etc). Congratulations!!! Lets enjoy being permanent residents :D

OMG, my wife just returned to China for a 3-month vacation yesterday. She got a email saying the interview is scheduled to be July 10. What should we do? Should my wife fly back for the interview and then fly back to China? or Ask USCIS reschedule? Thank you all!

Depends on what's more important to you. If you ask me I'll tell you that you should not reschedule.

Interview Experience:

Our interview was scheduled at 9:45. Our lawyer wanted us to meet her a 9:15 in front of the building. After that we went through security and then I turned in the interview paper and they told us to go into the lobby and have a seat and they will call us by our names. Well time went by they called a lot of people in front of us. It was 10:30 when we finally got called in. Our lawyer knew bunch of the officers so that made me really confident that they all said hi to her. Our officer was a lady who wasn't really humble and bubbly...kinda looked strict. We swore in then told us to have a seat. Our lawyer had everything in front of her regarding our case. She was joking around with us trying to make me feel a little bit more comfortable there. Then the officer lady asked me to turn in all of our official documents (birth certificate, passports, drivers license, marriage certificate) she took out my I-94 immediately and checked off a lot of things on the forms. Asked my husband his full name and his address... same thing from me. Then she started to ask me all the NO questions from the I-485 form. (criminal? etc) After she only asked how did we meet and how long have we known each other? That's all about our relationship. Then she asked us what we have for more evidence and our lawyer turned in our packet with (bank statements, car insurance and pictures and all the other stuff we had). She didn't even look through everything and told us we have been approved. After that it turned out to be very casual and she was joking around with us and our lawyer too. Oh and she also took my EAD card. We brought two more bags of supporting evidence and she said you didn't have to... I completely believe you:) But I thought it was better to be over prepared than under so I took everything with us. So she gave us the approval paper and explained the two year conditional green card thingy. She was like you see as long as you are honest it is very easy. We thanked her for her time and that was it:) Honestly I was very happy that our lawyer was there with us. She is well known and the officers know already that she would not take on BS cases. Good luck to all of you. I really hope it helps to calm your nerves...

Does anyone has experience with rescheduling interview dates? If I reschedule, how soon would I have the next reschedule date?

I've heard 30 to 60 days but in the interview letter they send you are the specific instructions to be taken to reschedule. Best advice is...... Call the 1800 USCIS number.

uscis.gov

Please make every effort to appear for your scheduled appointment for fingerprinting, interview, or other processing. Failure to appear can delay processing of your case, and can result in your not receiving the benefit for which you applied. However, if an emergency arises and you absolutely cannot make your appointment, follow any reschedule instructions on your appointment notice. The local USCIS office will make the final decision whether to reschedule your appointment.
