I went to Ghana to give my fiancee moral support during her interview last year. As far as I am concerned, it helped that I was there. I was asked all the questions and the CO didn't ask my fiancee any question. I was surprise. At the end of the interview, the CO said that she is convinced that our relationship is genuine and she does not need any further document but unfortunately we were put under AP.

Same thing happened to me. I was with my fiancé for his interview in Romania. The CO ended up asking me most of the questions! If it is possible for you to be there then I would go. It will help for your fiancé to have the moral support.

I am waiting decision on my K-1 application. I believe I have enough evidence to prove the existance of relationship. Visited twice since we met, communications, money transfers, pictures, bank statements showing that she was using my american bank card for over year in my native country until I stopped it. But I want to fly to home to attend the interview with her because I am not happy with some of her answers to possible questions and that scares me sometimes. She thinks since I have filed for her, AO will just call her to come for the visa. Also she is been there once for student visa but was refused. Do you think my presence with her will improve her chances of getting the visa?

Maybe it may help both of your to relax by reading the embbassy reviews on this site. It seems most of the embassys are more concerned that you have your paperwork in order. I plan to be there for moral support for my Fiance.

Maybe the two of you are feeling pressure and sometimes that can create added pressure for the beneficiary. Have a rehersed stock answers could come off fake. Let her answer with the intention that she loves you and I am sure you will be fine.

So read the embassey reviews.... you will feel better...

Good luck!

Going to an interview in Ghana is an excellent idea. Make sure you take your passport and when your case is called just go up. During the interview they asked me several questions regarding our relationship. They asked me to sit down while they questioned him and requestioned me regarding his answers. I agree with baron55 the money transfers are going to be a problem. We were even asked did we exchange money. The lady asked the questions like she was an old friend but question was loaded. Example: She asked my husband, "so how big is your wife's house" and before my husband thought he started answering. Then my husband caught himself, he said no "dont put words in my mouth I never said house I said apartment." Other regions may be different but I can say Ghana the petitioner should go to the interview and be prepared to defend the relationship.
