Hi, the immigration visa is taking a very long time (Immediate relative of USC). Our paperwork was subitted earlier in 2012 and each step was approved (affidavit of support)and so today I got an email stating: The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified. So everything has been filed and paid. We are waiting for the interview and then my wife will get her medical portion done, etc. But since then we will be well into 2013 will they request the tax records we filed this year to "update" the I864? Thank you in advance for any replies.

Also a side note: During the wait of the processing of our application initially my wife was catagorized as a CR1, but while waiting our 2 year marriage anniversary passed. Will she still be considered a conditional resident?

your wife will receive IR1 visa, in case the us Consulate issue CR1 tell her at the port of entry to tell the immigration officer she is married over 2 years and they will allow her to enter as IR1 visa holder not CR1 visa holder. If her interview is after April 2013 then she should take with her copy of the tax return submitted regarding 2012.
