My mother passed away on October 29. Just now trying to get back into the swing of life as well as pick up the pieces. Marlon has been very supportive throughout this most trying time in my life as well as my friends and family. He called me this morning and told me he got his police record already! So, he has spurred me to start getting stuff together on my end so we can file by December 31. I am hoping to go see him next month not only for his comfort but also to start my grieving as I have not had a chance to yet what with work and being strong for my family. Just thought I would post, thanks for letting me share.

I'm sorry too!

My fiance's mother passed away a few weeks ago and he is very upset. I feel very bad that I'm far away because he tells me how much he needs me now.

I need this visa process to move along faster because I can't afford to go to Brasil now to be with him so it is hard.

I will be there next year when he has his interview though - we decided that will be better.

I hope you can be strong and I'm glad that you have your fiance to support you.

Take care.

Hi FutureMrs,

thanks for letting us all in on your pain. I hope sharing it brings you some consolation. Good to hear you are finding reasons to feel "spurred"... with your fiance police check completed! Keep at it!

It is good to be strong for your family, but remember to look after yourself as well! Hang in there! :)

Thank you all very much for your kind words and support. It has been a bit difficult but Marlon and I are trucking away! I decided not to go to Jamaica next month but we are hoping to file at least by next month. It feels so good to have somewhere to talk to people! Thanks again and congrats to all who have been approved, married, or any good thing!

God bless and hugs (L)

I very sorry about your loss. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
