This happen to us in 2010. I returned in 2011 and we married there..... We only tried for the K-1 because we were told it was faster..... In my opinion the CR-1 was much easier.... Anyhoo... I have no advice concerning doctors in Rabat.... But I do know that unemployment is not counted as income. Your current income must meet the guidelines for the year which your petition was filed. If not you will need a sponsor.

Ameen.... Thanks Sis. Insha'allah all will go well for you and you husband

OH.... Ok... I would take all of then... I felt like I was at a job inteview when we went to one of our many stops to get married... LOL... We were married in Fes. I gave the guy a copy of my resume and he asked me to explain for all gaps in employment. I was not working at the time but the lady at a company that I did temp work for wrote me a letter of employment and I had done some temp work for them just before I went so I had recent pay stubs.... They may accept your unemployment along with your other income info, so I would just take it all.

My husband had to have some dental work done so we are plnning for him to come on feb 12th insha'allah...

I don't think that you will need any proof of employment to get married in Morocco. I'm Moroccan & I got married a year ago & neither me nor my husband was asked any of this questions or proof. But if you want to be safe you can bring the proof with you. But definitely you will need the proof of Income, employment & taxes returns after your I-130 get approved & when you will need to apply for the I-864 so I'm wishing you best luck. By the way there is no need to see a Doctor in Rabat unless your husband want to but you can still see your PCP here & bring that paper with you to Morocco. Anyway he will need to go first and ask what documents will be needed from you & from him so that you will have them when you are there. I think they will need birth certificate, police clearance certificate, ID & passport. Congrats on your marriage.

They wanted the employment information (salary, employer, etc) from me last month when I got married in Fes. You should have your fiance ask his adoul about your situation and what you should bring. However, I would bring more than what is asked for, as some things get lost in translation...LOL I sent my papers early, as well, so they could be translated and they could pick-and-choose what they wanted. That way, if they needed something that I didn't send, I could bring it with me. Granted, the package was "lost" for about a week, but it did arrive unopened well before I left.

Good luck and Congrats! May this year be a good year for us all!
