Good Afternoon all!!! I am a little confused. We are at the final stages @ NVC. I call NVC usually twice a week but when and why would I call DOS? Thank you in advance for any guidance!

DOS can be as accurate as NVC with providing the same or somewhat like same information. You can call DOS to find out when is your interview date sometimes they would be able to let you know faster then NVC. You don't have to contact them but you can...

oh DoS hotline knows some things,

so if you finished up with NVC and have a case complete,

talking with DoS can be more fun.

Timeticks and other things you can get from DoS Hotline:

1. interview date

2. status of interview

3. visa packet sent date

4. date of 'administrative processing' started and stopped

5. date of 'administrative review' started and stopped

6. date of 'additional processing' started and stopped

4-6 are optional.

1-3 are things you should ask for , at some point.

1 you can also get from NVC.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
