All items submitted... now we wait AGAIN

Well I finally got invoiced last Friday and it showed up as paid this afternoon. It still took a couple more hours for the application to become available but I was ready and waiting. I've submitted all the "standard" items. If there is something else they want, they're going to have to let me know. It's back in the hands of NVC and I will now try to remain patient once again for next steps!

I do want to add as a side note, that we have been told that DS-260 wants DAYS as well as month and year of where we lived but I was only asked for month and year on my application so perhaps it has been updated to be more in line with the DS-230 version.

Let the wait commence... again... I think I'll have a slice of cheesecake while I wait... Darnell... would you care for a piece? Not exactly a celebration meal but a treat for having jumped through one more hoop.

I expected I'd hear from YOU on that note I kept staring at it to make sure I was seeing it correctly.

Also, I was not asked for any previous employment. I was only asked for current occupation. There was no historical work questions at all. I even went back to the Saylin bible to look at the screenshot again to see what I knew I had studied before... but it didn't come up for me! With my luck the form is broken for me and I'll have to do it again! Ha!

Hopefully though that is it and it will be the same for others going forward.

what about the financial institutions?? I took 2 semesters off during my bachelors degree program, do I have to give the exact dates? I also transferred between 2 high schools which I don't remember the date I switched to the 2nd one.

I have to get the kids their next shot in the Hepatitis vaccine series and with that we'll be ready for our medicals. I've been in touch with the doc's office to make sure we're good on that front. I've already decided we're going to make a week of our trip to Montreal and take the train from Toronto with the kids and make a mini vacation out of it! It's close enough to drive but the train takes a little less time so that's our plan as of right now. We'll see.

Ha you WROTE "financial" but I read it as "educational". I had filled out a DS-230 to have on-hand when the time came to do the DS-260 and was worried about all those items because I also had breaks in school and such to try to remember. But NONE of it was there when I filled it out.

Saylin and I were discussing it as well and she mentioned that the DS-260 has changed a couple times back and forth so even though it was this way for me at this point, it could switch back I guess at some point.

well hopefully it doesn't change by the time I get to fill it out, since I'm not going to be the one filling it out anyways, I'm gonna have my lawyer do it for me...since they've done all the paperwork from the beginning I'm afraid I will screw it up and I wouldn't forgive myself if I did something wrong and got a checklist for it! lol yes I'm that paranoid!! I guess it is a good idea to fill out the DS-230, I shall do that and email it to the lawyer so when they're filling out the DS-260 they don't have to keep emailing me back and forth and such.

Although I can maybe call my high schools and ask for the dates?! I'm not sure if they will be able to help me out but I will give it a try tomorrow

I don't think they'd care about high schools. It didn't come up for me but I would have done the same thing you mentioned. I would put the school I graduated from and then my college and university I guess.
