I have a question , so when get in the US with my k1 visa and after I get my AP and AOS and ED, how can I travel to my home ( I want to visit my family). My passport will say my old name, can I file for an American passport? Should I show my esta and my AP?

06/27/2013 Interview at Frankfurt Consulate = Approved.

08/09/2013 Wedding!

09/03/2013 Sent AOS + EAD + AP

US passports are for US citizens only. You will need to get your name changed in your passport. I wouldn't recommend doing this while your AOS is pending though as you will have to show the passport you entered with at the AOS interview (if you get one) and if something were to go wrong (lost or delayed) it would be quite a problem. You could probably show your marriage license with the name change listed as proof that the passport is yours, but I'm not sure if CBP accepts that.

Yes.

To travel before changing your passport, make the plane reservations to match the name in your passport. Bring a copy of your marriage certificate to show in case questioned about your married name being on the EAD/AP and green card.
