Just need some inputs, about an interview question? "Did u go to honeymoon?"

In our case, it was arranged marriage.

After marriage we were together in my home town. We used to go around movies, family get togethers and restaurants.

When my spouse came to India after our marriage, we also went to a resort for a day.

"No great honeymoon places for few days as such"

Catch is we don't have pictures to show we went around.

Any suggestions on how to craft a good response?

Your answer would be that yes, there was a honeymoon, that is if you both consider that trip the honeymoon.

We didn't have a 'proper' one until about a year after we married: might be silly, but my wife did not consider trips to Vegas, Florida, Colorado, Europe, etc as honeymoons. To her, it was the trip to South America what made it the honeymoon.

So, if you do not consider that a honeymoon took place, then your answer is not, and then you can then explain what/when it will take place.

Pictures are not conclusive evidence. Do you have boarding passes, itineraries (from the airline or agency or site where tickets were purchased)?, How about hotel/lodging receipts (the resort you noted)?

Any documentation that will connect the both of you in the same place at same time should do. Pictures would have been a nice secondary evidence, BTW, you mean to say that no one (outside of yourselves) took any pic??.

I'd secure a few affidavits from family and perhaps the people at the resort to the effect that you represented to be married. Maybe the registration at the resort, etc.

Thank you for prompt response.

BTW, we have a receipt from the resort, but the receipt doesn't show both of our names. I guess it is ok??

Is it common in India not to honeymoon?

I know we didn't, but that is fairly common for Danish couples and for second marriages. A lot of times couples don't have the money or desire for a long trip somewhere else.

Just be honest about it and what you were thinking at the time.

Just be honest with them!

Just give them exact answer as you explained your situation here. They are more interested to hear the truth. It will not be big deal if you guys dont have receipt/photos for that event. No big deal. Your body language would play a big role there.
