Hello everyone! :help:

Im new here and just started my K1 visa process. I'm reading up on some forums to get an idea of how things will work in advance. This website has been very helpful. I was wondering if I sent my I-129 on dec 17 2012, should I have recieved a letter/receipt by now? Maybe I am just inpatient  Any info would be awesome. Thanks a lot for any help in advance!

You would have sent an I-129F, not an I-129. The I-129 is filed by employers.

well, there were 2 holidays between today and the date you filed, so

I suggest to wait 2 more weeks,

then if no I-797C formletter showing the receipt #, officially freak out.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Right, good point. I'm worried I might be missing something. It'll probably come in tomorrow.

Hey Welcome Aboard, I agree with all the commments it seems like you apply over the holidays so it might take them a couple of extra days for you to get your NOA1. I won't worried about it yet. The hard part and long waits seem to be with the approval of the petition that's the NOA2 notice that we all want to come quickly. Looking forward to talk to you guys here at Visajourney. Good luck on this crazy journey keep in touch.
