hi everyone,

I'm new here and I was wondering if someone might help me.

I recentley filled my I130 application and it's in process. Since it's a realy long process (some told me up to 10 years), does anyone know what happens if I change my status to married during that time? Am I suppose to start everything all over again?

Hey thanks for te optemism but last I checked, I130 pettition for bother/sister of a US citizen can take up to 10 years. It's a very long time thats's why I want to know what might happen to my pettion if during that time I would like to get married

A sibling may be married- just update your file if you get married and your spouse and minor kids can immigrate with you when the time comes

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
