Is NBC processing I-130s?

I received NOA1 email that my case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

And the I-797 notice lists NBC address in Lee's Summit MO.

And Igor's Timeline page lists many folks with I-130s at the NBC.

But, USCIS processing page for National Benefits Center doesn't list I-130s.

So, should I expect the case to be moved from NBC to a USCIS Service Center or District Office?

Or does NBC process I-130s, but USCIC for some reason does not update their page for NBC with I-130s?

my case has been at NBC for almost 5 months too and still hear nothing! at first it was at CSC( california) for 2 days and was sent to NBC right after that, i called and the girl said to speed up the processing time. I think we just wait and when it;s over 5 months we can call and ask!!!!

Sheesh! It's such a lottery with them; there is no telling why some cases get approved in 2-3 months, and some take over six.

I hope the girl is able to really speed up the process for you!

If NBC is really approving I-130s (I meant to say approving, not processing, in the title), I wonder why their website for NBC processing times doesn't show it?

I just read that Stand-Alone Immediate Relative I-130s will be transferred from the Service Center to the National Benefits Center (NBC), and then routed to the appropriate Field Office. Customers will receive a notice indicating the case was transferred to the NBC, but that notice will not indicate the final local Field Office location.

So, NBC is just one of the places that is processing, but they are NOT the ones APPROVING the I-130s.

I will try calling NCSC to see where our case has been, or will be, transferred to, so I can track the progress of that Field Office.

We are at 3 months wait today.

I called USCIS again, talked to Tier 2 officer, to check if our case has been transferred to a local office. It hasn't been. It is still at NBC.

The officer then informed me that they usually transfer to the local office only those cases where they might need to call one of the parties in for an interview, or need more information. He asked if the beneficery is in the country, (she is not), so maybe those cases are that get transferred. If we indicated on I-130 that we'll do consular processing (which we did), then most likely our petition will stay at NBC.

He also said that it should take 5-6 months total until approval, which is different from 7 months information I received when I called 2 months ago. He did say he is not there, at NBC, and it will depend on their workload, but that is the average. So, I guess, he is one of the more hopeful officers.

I just called in about my case as well. I just filed for mine case in April but I wanted an update. I called in on 5/20 and was told by customer service that my case was in San Francisco (I live about 2 hrs north of there so thats my local field office). Then when I called in this morning on 5/28 I was told by a Tier 2 officer that my case was still at the NBC in Missouri. I have an MSC number just so you know. I was told on 5/20 that it can take 30-45 days for processing and then today I was told it can take 6-9 months for processing, what a joke. But I suppose that is the government for you. Just wanted to share what I learned today.

April 9, 2013: NOA 1

Nov. 18: Transferred to Texas

Dec 9: NOA 2

Dec 17: NOA 2 Hard Copy

NVC

Jan 17, 2014: Case received by NVC

Feb. 25: NVC Case# Received

Feb 28: DS-261 Submitted

March 3: AOS Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 6: AOS Bill showing paid

March 6: AOS Packet sent EP (I did not know at the time but 3 attachments were JPEG's, only PDF's are accepted)

March 12: EP enrollment confirmation received

March 13: Resent AOS packet email as I am confused if they received original since EP enrollment confirmation was received by me after AOS was sent.

March 14: Resent AOS packet as I realized previous two packets had JPEG's in them. This is my first correct packet with all PDF's.

March 17: Resent AOS packet for the 4th time with all PDF's and finally got a confirmation of receipt. This one was the only one sent during "business hours"

March 20: IV Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 24: IV Bill Shows Paid and DS260 Available online

March 25: Supervisor states AOS packet approved

March 27: DS260 & Supporting Documents submitted

April 18: False checklist for IV Packet

May 4: Checklist requesting proof of eligibility (passport or BC). Wrote a nasty note back with a passport attached since they already had both as its part of the IV Packet duh

May 13: NVC Approval Email

Embassy

May 16: Interview Scheduled June 25th

May 28: Medical Exam Completed

June 25: Interview Montreal

Yap that is true, I've waited for almost 1 and half hr to talk to the officer but they only give you basic info that the case are still at NBC and processing time is from 6-9months...so a waste of time to call...I will just wait until they send me the noa2....kinda frustrating but nothing we can do about it.
