I just got my I-130 approved. I am new to this NVC forum. I would like to know what I should do with the DS3032 once I get my NVC case # ?

If I email it, I know there's a specific template that you have to use. This is what I found.

DS-3032 Email Template

Subject: <NVC Case Number - Beneficiaries Name>

NVC Case No: <NVC Case Number>

CIS Case No: <USCIS Case Number> or <NOA Receipt Number>

Petitioner's Name: <Petitioner's Name LAST FIRST MI>

Petitioner's Date of Birth: <MONTH DD, YYYY> i.e. January 01, 1951

Beneficiary's Name: <Beneficiary's Name LAST FIRST MI>

Beneficiary's Date of Birth: <MONTH DD, YYYY> i.e. January 01, 1951

Re: Declaration of Choice of Address and Agent for Immigrant Visa applicant

To whom it may concern:

My name is <beneficiaries name>, my visa case number is # <NVC Case Number>.

Per the DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent for Immigrant Visa Applicants), I would like to appoint my <Husband/Wife> as my agent of choice to receive all future correspondence from the U.S. Department of State. <His/Her> contact information is provided below:

Name: <Petitioner's Name LAST FIRST MI>

Address:

<Petitioner's Address Line 1>

<Address Line 2> (optional)

<Address Line 3> (optional)

<City>, <State/Province>, <Postal Code>

<Country>

Phone: <Petitioner's Phone Number>

Email: <Petitioner's E-mail Address>

All mail from the U.S. Department of State concerning my immigrant visa should be sent to the address above.

Please let me know if you need additional information. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely yours,

<Beneficiary's Name LAST FIRST MI>

Telephone: <Beneficiary's Telephone>

Email: <Beneficiary's Email>

Is this correct?

Also when I opened the DS3032 form, I noticed that on top it asks for a barcode. Now does that only apply if I'm sending the form via mail? I don't see it being mentioned via email.

Please help me if anyone knows. Thank you so much!

I just dealt with this yesterday. I used the template also.

First off, if you haven't done it already, call NVC (probably not open on Jan 1st). Give them both of your email addresses (petitioner and beneficiary). Also, ask them for the Invoice Identification Number. If they say nothing has been invoiced yet, call back in an hour and hope you get a different operator. Ask again for the IIN. Write this number down.

Next, send out that DS-3032 template email from the Beneficiary's email address. It may take up to 2 weeks for them to receive it. If you get a response that it wasn't accepted, they may not have been accepting documents from you yet.. just resend the email.

The barcode on the paper form of DS-3032 is not needed. Even after they receive your email, they may still send you a barcoded DS-3032. This one is not needed, don't send it in again.

Next, you can check on https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/

On this site, under the Immigrant Visa section, you can check the status of your petition, but more importantly, check in the Pay Fee section. Use your NVC case number and IIN. As soon as NVC invoices the Adjustment of Status and/or DS-230 fees, they'll be available on their for you to pay. Don't wait for them to send a bill in the mail, pay it online.
