On the embassy website I found this:

Applicants for K visas on the other hand, pay a US$240 nonimmigrant visa application fee. The application fee for nonimmigrant visas must be paid prior to scheduling a visa interview appointment.

My question is the fee per person? I have my fiancee and her 18 y/o son, so would we pay $240 or $480? Medical is simple, they state fee is per person. Thanks for any assistance someone can supply me with this question. I know I have plenty of time but working on budgeting all the different costs now.

Happy New Years everyone.

Greg, please read this web site information again, I saw nothing that says a Finance petition is 240, I did see a filing fee of $340.00.

Also please read all information that is attached to this link http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/300-general-k1-guides-and-info/

Then come back if you have any additional questions that are not answered, before you consider to file a K1 petition.

LJ,

My title was Manila Embassy and thus I am not talking about the fee to start the K1 process here in the US but the Embassy fee for the interview appt part of the process. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused you.

Greg...Here is the U.S. Embassy Manila letter which tells your K-1 beneficiary that she's eligible to schedule an interview and gives instructions on how to prepare for the interview: USEM Manila link.

Make sure that she doesn't wait around for the Embassy to send that letter because it takes a long time to arrive. Sometimes it never arrives.

By the way, they each have to pay a $240 visa application fee, for a total of $480.

Yes, do not pay in lump sum. Pay the visa fee for each applicant

Good luck!
